This Side Up Moving Company

Arrived an hour late with the wrong sized truck. Damaged my property, ($5000.00 worth of damage) was extremely disrespectful to us. Throws your stuff anywhere without organizing. Then when he finally got to the destination address refused to unload unless we paid in full claiming it was “federal law.” How can we pay on full if you charge by the hour and don’t know how long it’s going to take? Then proceeded to use derogatory language in subsequent texts? Texting me the following about my wife.

Imagine the excitement of moving into a new home. Then imagine the feeling you get once the moving company doesn't show up. This is what my family had to go through. I had my entire place in boxes ready to go. The house was upside down and they did not show up. I became concerned about one hour after the scheduled appointment, so I reached out to them (they didn't call me first). The excuse I got was that they were having truck problems. Okay, I tired to understand. No big deal.

Avoid this company if you don't want more stress at your moving time! Totally unreliable, totally! As soon as they got deposit from me they stopped answering my calls and messages. I was lucky to find another company to help me. They also didn't return my deposit back which of course I claimed through my band and got it. The owner was very rude and texted me and called me petty only because I asked for my deposit! Do not trust! Very unprofessional behavior!

The owner of this company is a CROOK!! He tried to charge us almost double the quoted price after the movers arrived over two hours late. Not to mention they made EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional comments toward me. Please, save yourself the hassle and look for a different company. In response to the owners response. My husband did inform him of us being on the third floor. He made it abundantly clear. He also made it clear it was two dressers, a couch, and a bed frame. NOT a fully furnished apartment as stated.

The two movers were late but I didn’t complain, they worked very fast and were really nice. When it was time to pay I was told that they preferred cash or check. I normally don’t pay cash or carry cash because I like to keep track of my expenses. When I told them I don’t have my check book and I will pay cash the mover told me that his phone was dead and as soon as it was charged he would send a receipt. I was uneasy about this but the guys were really nice and I thought I could trust them. I paid and tipped them.

Do NOT use this company. You will end up paying a high price for the worst service you could ever imagine leaving you to feel like you wasted your money and frustrated. When I booked this service, I specifically requested a 26ft truck. My movers arrived two hours late with a 16ft truck which made it necessary for them to make multiple trips on an hourly rate. I also had to call and find out where they were. I was not informed they were running behind.

Be cautious when dealing with Ali! He is a sweet talker and would go back on his words. His men are good but he is a dishonest person and would not honour an agreement. His men helped us with our move from Ann arbor to Novi. They were mostly quick (hence one star) but took some extra time to fill gas in their truck in the middle of the move and charged us for the extra time.

Worst experience with a moving company! Had to call to confirm multiple times. 15 min before they were due to come they called and said they are 6 hours delayed because their trucks won’t work. They showed up 7 hours later with an attitude. One of the men spent most of the time on the phone fighting with his girlfriend and carrying items with one hand. They didn’t wrap anything up and set the furniture in the snow (a brand new upholstered bed covered in stains).
