Trek Movers

Absolutely the worst moving experience of my life!!! Our family's recent move from Los Angeles to the San Francisco bay area with Trek Movers Inc. (based in Los Angeles) was the worst experience we ever had with any moving company. The 6 movers from Trek Movers who handled our belongings were shockingly unprofessional and incredibly rude from the moment they arrived. Their behavior made us uncomfortable, and they intimidated us by refusing to even move their truck so that we could go out to lunch.

Please, please, please, please do not make the mistake we did and use this company. The movers were pleasantly surprised with how little we needed to move, and I thought it was a great sign that it was just the things I alone could not move to our new apartment. However, I was wrong. This move ended up being a little over 7 hours. I am uploading pictures of our exact move so you all are aware and can make informed decisions when looking for moving companies.

Reply to response The crew arrived, looked around then left without stating anything. No statement about concerns of health or safety. This is unprofessional. No other way about it If something was of safety concern such a thing should have been stated. Or at the very least treat customers with a ounce of courtesy by speaking to them. As noted in their reply they completely avoided the topic of their unprofessionalism and went to the canned response.

BEWARE!!! I chose Trek because of the great reviews, even though it was the more expensive option. I used them this past month for packing and loading services. Unfortunately, I had a really bad experience. And as a note: I've moved many times, moving is really hard on your stuff - don't expect things to arrive without scratches and bumps. However, there is certainly a standard to be met by good movers and Trek failed to meet it.

I will add the disclaimer that it heavily depends on who you get. My boyfriend used this company a few weeks prior to me and had a much different experience, which was mostly positive. I hired 3 movers. Of the 3, one worked the hardest. One of the others, who was the lead was good, but talked a tremendous amount and would practically stop all packing or go very slow when he was talking. The other spoke no English at all and seemed to not do anything unless he was instructed by the others.

This review is my opinion of Trek Movers. Communications was not good. The movers were Russian and spoke very little broken English. I was not sure they properly communicated the full moving process or understood our questions / requests. They estimated time for the move (generous amount of time). After they provided their estimate, we informed them that we (2 people) would help with moving items to and from the van. We worked hard and tried to accelerate the move to save money.

DO NOT USE TREK MOVERS! I was scammed. I was originally quoted by Trek 3 hours at $149/hr for my move. My apartment was all packed up in boxes, save for the large furniture, and ready to go when the movers arrived. They were set to come at 9am and move me two miles into a storage unit. I scheduled cleaners to come at 2pm. When a couple of hours had passed and they were still loading the truck, I asked if we were still on track to be done on time. I was then told by the movers that it would be closer to 6 hours.

Watch out not to be tricked by this people. I happened to find my new home 5 days to the end of the month. I was so stressed between working, packaging and moving , i tried to find a moving company that i could trust to make this transition smoother for me . Trek movers company was the second company i called ; and picked based on their sweet talk and promises, which also had an opening on easter Sunday I was told for one bedroom with maximum 3 hours the job could be done, the person I talked to also emphasized…
