We hired Trek Movers weeks in advance based upon positive google review and had a horrible experience. We had requested vaccinated movers due to my fiancee's father being at risk in hospice care. One of the movers was not vaccinated, so we told him he should work outside of the house, but indicated we would pay the full 5 person crew amount (despite him needing to work outside).
No care taken in packing personal goods. Items such as sentimental vases and wedding memorabilia thrown in boxes with no wrapping or protection. No inventory management marking like I've had with other companies to make sure all of your items are accounted for. Moving appraiser said that clothes would be ok to leave in drawers, but were taken out so we need to wash and fold again to get rid of wrinkles. They also pressure you to leave a review before they leave and you've had a chance to go through your items.

In their own words
The movers were very careful with our furniture and they were pleasant to be around. They took care of everything and quickly got the job done, which was great because a lot of our furniture had to go on the second floor of the house. They were there on time and as promised reassembled our king bed with no problem. Even the barbecue made it without a dent or scratch, all of our stuff seems to be ok.
I have now done three moves with Trek: one from LA to the Bay Area, and two from a storage unit on the peninsula to the east bay. I’ve been very impressed with their efficiency and honesty, pointing out ways to save money and time, as well as pointing out scuffs to floors or damage to boxes or packaging, though they weren’t the cause. I found their rates to be very fair, and communication and scheduling to be straightforward in every experience.
I moved within San Jose from a 2 bedroom to another 2 bedroom apartment. Based on the yelp reviews, I booked Trek Movers. Booking by the hour is not something that I am comfortable with because people play very fast and loose. Considering that movers always try to go over the estimate, it was a breeze of fresh air that the guys who showed up from Trek movers were not trying to scam me. Jerry, Batraz, and Dimitri were very diligent and cautious of the time.
If I could give more than five stars, I would. Moving is usually a chaotic nightmare, but this team turned it into a surprisingly smooth experience. The Logistics: Precise and Honest From the initial conversation to the final signature, their communication was flawless. • Transparent Pricing: There were no "hidden fuel surcharges" or mystery fees. What they quoted was what I paid, which is a rare find in the moving industry.
