The guys were nice and did move a lot of furniture but with that said we ended up with stuff that was moved to the apartment that was to stay at the storage and they left with out putting one of the beds together because they left part of the bed in storage and when we said something to them they told us we could go get them. they didn't put a chair back together and put really bad scratches and a few hunks of wood out of our bed.
Catherine, we are disheartened to read your review as this is not typical feedback for Tri City Movers. Our team strives to provide all our customers with the best service possible, no matter the job. We would like to speak more directly about your experience.
I reviewed this company immediately after they packed the home I was moving out of, and the workers had been there since early in the morning. Although there had been a few snags (workers taking long breaks, smoking at the door of my apartment, arguing with each other about who was not working or who was moving too slowly) when I called the office, it seems the matters were handled well, so I was still okay with the initial results of the first part of the move. However, I had no idea how my evening would end.
Kiesha, we are truly sorry to hear about the challenges you faced during your move. Your feedback is valuable to us, and we will address these issues internally to ensure that they do not happen again in the future. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Crew of 4 showed up to move a dozen pieces of furniture less than Half a mile. We weren’t expecting that many. Smelled weed when they came inside our home. Loud talking and obnoxious behavior the entire time. More than once we were worried about damage to our furniture. At the end they tried to rip us of by adding charges we didn’t agree to and had to correct the math more than once. Still think we were overcharged. Will never use this company again.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused during your move. We strive to provide a professional and efficient service, and it is disappointing to hear that we fell short of your expectations during our second time within the last 6 months moving you.
Here's the Cliff Notes version: take your business elsewhere. We used Tri City Movers for our move. The crew was quick and efficient and did a good job. While unpacking we noticed some items were missing (approx $500 value). We waited three weeks before contacting the movers as we wanted to be sure the items weren't somewhere in the house or previous residence. We called the operations manager (Dave) to discuss our concern.
Tom, we are terribly sorry to read this review. We never want anyone to be disappointed or frustrated with their experience with us. We will be sure to look into this feedback right away and discuss it with our staff. Please give us a call at ([phone removed] so we can discuss.
Not over the top amazing. But ok. The guys were super nice, however broke some things. The dome of the light fixture in the house I was moving out of was shattered, the vinyl in my laundry room was ripped up ( its not even a year old), my dresser which wasn't even a year old was damaged and the hardwoods in the master bed room were scratched. They repaired the dresser on the spot, even called in another guy to help.
Audra, we are sorry to read of your disappointment. What your experienced during your move is not representative of who we are nor how we conduct business. Please contact us at [phone removed]… we would be happy to discuss this with you further.
Living in my apartment for over a month now, and associates from tri city movers, we’re moving someone else in to the apartment that I reside in. Upon getting home from work, I see two workers, unloading their truck that is parked diagonally, taking up not one, but TWO handicap spots. To make matters worse, going inside and rounding the corner to the apartment complex’s elevator, it was completely full of boxes they had been bringing in from the truck.
Update: I used them on June 30th, 2023 for a move. The workers were more concerned if I was single than moving my belongings. They dropped a box with glass in it which was marked fragile AND I pointed at it. Still it was dropped. The biggest issue I had with them on this day was, they hit my car as well as a new neighbor’s car. They didn’t tell at me first. The manager tried to downplay the issue and still expected me to pay full price for the move…which I did not.
Robyn, we sincerely apologize for the experience you had during your recent move with us. We strive to provide excellent service to all of our customers and we will use your feedback to improve in the future. Please reach out to us if you have any concerns you would like to discuss directly.
The customer service was very good from the time I booked the move until the end. My issues was with the damage to my furniture and the lack of detail when handling my furniture. Multiple items were not wrapped to save time but were damaged. I paid extra to have the washing machine connected and had water everywhere in the laundry room on second floor because the movers forgot to connect the hose.
Karen, we are terribly sorry to read this feedback and we would like to speak with you right away. Please give us a call at your earliest convenience to discuss this further. Thank you.

In their own words
I can't say enough good things about Tri City Movers! We had several quotes to consider for a long distance move from NC to CT and chose Tri City Movers based upon their customer service and I am extremely happy we did! From the first moment I called and spoke to Cassandra for my quote until the moment the truck drove away after delivering our belongings in CT I was more than 100% satisfied.
We are so pleased to hear that you had a fantastic experience with us, Lisa. Providing exceptional customer service and care is essential to our business and our customers. 100% satisfaction is always what we aim for and we are so glad you received just that.
My wife and I recently contracted with Tri-City for a local move. I did some comparison shopping and found that they offered a discounted rate with outstanding service. The movers arrived on time with three men and a truck. They took care to blanket wrap all wooden furniture and shrink wrapped all upholstery to protect our belongings. The three men that came were professional and courteous and took pride in their work. The owner also dropped by and assisted with packing the truck.
Jason and his guys at TrI-city are great movers! Excellent communication, very polite and trust-worthy employees. Their team recently moved two of our households, filling 3 large PODS. The pods were pack perfectly in order to optimize space. Their prices a very reasonable and a they are a very easy company to work with. We will definitely hire Jason and his crew again. We highly recommend them.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with Tri City Movers! We are thrilled to hear that Jason and his team provided excellent service during your recent moves. We appreciate your kind words and recommendation.
Just got moved by Tri city movers, from Kernersville to Wilmington. John and his Crew did a great job, they arrived early and worked hard on one of the hottest days of the year. They loaded our house on two trucks in good time, they were polite and went that extra mile to make sure everything was packed well and safe. They had me follow up when they completed the upstairs to make sure nothing was missed and same for the downstairs.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your positive experience with Tri City Movers, Stu. We are thrilled to hear that John and his crew provided you with exceptional service during your move from Kernersville to Wilmington.
