In their own words
DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! My first experience was great, so I hired them again for my move and the experience could not have been more different. They pushed my move an hour the night before my scheduled move (not a big deal, but a little annoying they didn’t give me at least a phone call during the day). Then the day of my move I receive a call 10 minutes before the end of the 1 hour window saying they couldn’t get the crew to answer their phone and they thought they were asleep because they worked late moving…
Do NOT book these movers unless you want to be waiting around for hours. I had a move scheduled and confirmed, yet the movers never showed up during the agreed-upon arrival window. After waiting over an hour with no communication, I called TriStar Moving and spoke with Mary Emily, who was very helpful and told me she would look into the situation and get back to me with an ETA.
By far the most unethical & unprofessional moving company I've ever encountered. This was the 11th time I've ever hired movers & the worst experience I've had by far. Call Black Tie Moving or literally anyone else. If you've already had the misfortune of using Tri-Star, bank disputes; BBB, state attorney general, & FTC complaints; & class action lawsuits can be helpful when dealing with the likes of this terrible excuse for a business.
Our attorney will be reaching out to you on Monday, but just wanted to say her name is Chelsea “Pete” not Chelsea “Pate” and is very much a real customer and real review. You cannot change your name on a Google listing. It will not allow … More
Let me start by saying I have never left a negative review before but wow did this company create a monster. If I could give negative stars I would. Simply cannot emphasize how horrible this entire process was and the amount of entitlement almost everyone I spoke to had when - last time I checked - I was the customer.
Kee and Nate helped us move. While Kee was professional and hardworking Nate was not. Nate asked inappropriate questions to my mother in law that made us all uncomfortable. He seemed to be casing our living situation to either steal from us (spoiler alert we think that he did) or possibly get her alone. When this was brought up to the owners we were not acknowledged or had any follow up done.
If I were to give this review upon our initial move (Just 7 miles down the road I might add), I likely would’ve given four stars. However, not everything comes to light at 9:30 PM after an all day move. One week after our move, we went to have our 75 inch TV that we had moved from our old house mounted by a professional service. When the TV mounting service went to plug in the TV, it no longer worked. When the movers arrived at our house, they didn’t mention anything about TVs, however we had four to move.
Useless company. Showed up with a truck that's too small. Less people than planned. When I asked what they were going to do about the truck thing they initially said they will take care of it. Then said no for a second truck it's another 1200. Then said I can get a u haul. Useless. They sm unpacked before I got to the new place and couldn't follow even basic instructions. Everything was on the wrong place and most was just shoved in the garage. Pick anyone but these idiots.
Do not use this company! Their services are awful. I had my move reserved two weeks in advance for June 20th in the afternoon for 2 guys and a truck. They arrived at my house and started complaining that I had a lot of things. When I got in …

In their own words
We had a great experience with an in-town move. Tri-Star was very quick to provide a free quote based on our inventory -- and the final price actually came in a bit under their estimate, despite some logistical complications (stairs, a couple bulky items, etc.). Scheduling was very easy, communication was clear. The 4-man crew was very good: they moved quickly and in an orderly manner, taking care especially with more fragile items.
Mortez and his crew works very hard and make sure all furnitures are wrapped securely to prevent any damage. It was a big and huge inventory like new pin ball machine and Traeger grill. Again all went very well and will definitely recommend anyone. Btw, this is the second times we are using them.
Had a great experience using them and will be using them anytime we need movers! Professional team and they take great care of your stuff.
We cannot say enough good things about ELIJAH & JOSHUA!!! They spent 12 hours moving our entire 4,000-square-foot home into our new townhouse, and they were absolutely incredible from start to finish. I found myself repeatedly shaking my head in amazement at their strength, endurance, and work ethic. The day was long, hot, and extremely humid, yet neither of them complained once.
