Two Men and a Truck

I had my belongings stored for two years with this disgusting company when I went t move for May 1st 2018 not only did they force me to use their services again which I did not want to as they charged me 1500.00 for a local move. They claimed I signed a contract with them stating I would use them again, they lied there is no such contract. They quoted me 1000.00 again an unrealistic price for moving as I had another storage unit with uhaul.

Awful experience using Two Men and a Truck Burlington, ON. Movers damaged several pieces of furniture consisting of our bed frame, entertainment unit, dining room table and dresser. Also bent on the knobs on the Weber BBQ and damaged both side platforms of the BBQ. Numerous deep scuffs and scratches on floors and staircase using a dolly when two movers could've simply carried a dresser up 5 stairs that weighed less than 50lbs...makes no sense!

I booked to have furniture moved in Oakville to another Oakville location just a few km's away. The guys were booked to arrive at 8am and they showed up at 9:40 with no contact. The excuse was first a guy didn't show up for work and then when they arrived the driver said he went to the same street in Burlington? He was quick to get me to sign a waiver and clearly the address was top of the page in Oakville???

Had 2 of the "gentlemen" working here literally hold me hostage and threaten bodily harm to me because the friend I was helping move needed to run to grab cash and said they wanted "collateral" Not sure about the other crews but if the chubby and skinny black guys show up to move your things, shut the door and request someone else. Theyre luckily I didn't call the police Oh and all this was AFTER telling us they wanted more than was originally quoted (thus the reason the extra cash was needed)

NEVER, AND I MEAN IT. NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY. ABSOLUTE WORST. They broke our marble and Ónix dinning table, night stand, marble bar and base of white living room. When the loaded nothing was protected, not even a 20k oil canvass. Extremely disappointed – damage not covered after 3 months. OWNER called Wendell said he was going to replace it and never cared and now he ignores my calls. During the move, my marble dining table was completely smashed (see attached photo).

Update: After posting this review, the owner called me. The very first thing he said wasn’t an apology or an attempt to understand what happened—it was that he was upset that I had gone straight to Google to leave a review. And completely ignored that I called nine times during his business hours to try and resolve this Throughout the call, he repeatedly dismissed or ignored my concerns.

We used Two Men and a Truck from the Burlington ON location. Upfront I will say that if you are using this franchise, you should know they have a 6 hour minimum for local moves. So, when you agree to an estimate, as they don't provide firm quotes, be mindful that its just an estimate. They are very detailed and list everything you are moving. In our case, the amount of furnishings was about 25% of a 28 foot moving van. A very small apartment sized move.

Very very very disappointing! Not recommended at all!! They were very prompt when they came and gave us the quote. Unfortunately the quote didn't really work as expected, as they claimed that I had more boxes, absolutely nonsense as nothing has changed since the quote. My biggest issue wasn't the extra $400 that I paid. My issue is the guys who came smelled like weed, excessive breaks during which they came back smelling like weed again, and took them very long time to drive from pick up to drop off.
