I am writing on behalf of my elderly father. He hired their services a few months ago. On site the guys were great, respectful, nice and hard working. He received a call the night of the move stating they couldn't fit his kayak into his storage unit. A few days a later another crew called and asked where he wanted the kayak, I told them to put it in the backyard of my rental unit. When I arrived I realized it wasn't just the kayak (see photo, note I had already moved a lot of boxes etc) but a ton of extra items.
We are sorry that you and your father were disappointed in the move. However, your father left the storage unit facility before the men went to load it. We called him to let him know that it was completely filled and that a 16' kayak wouldn't fit in a 10' x 10' storage unit and that there were…
Two years ago I was moving and they showed up late and wouldn't stay until the job was done. I'm disabled and was on oxygen... And unable to move the rest myself. I lost half my belongings, half my daughter's and granddaughters belonging. I would steer clear of them!!!
Amber, we did estimate for you two years ago, but you chose to use another company. Sorry you had a bad experience with whomever you used, but it sure wasn't us!
When the movers arrived, they informed me that the quote was wrong and that it would be more than the estimate. I questioned as to why and they said that I had more stuff than I disclosed to the estimator. Fine. Whatever. I had everything packed and ready to go. I wasn't concerned about the difference at this point. I assisted them pack and carry my belongings down to the truck (on an elevator from the 22nd floor). After packing the truck, they headed off to my new house.
My recent move - 2 of 12 boxes totally destroyed by movers. Significant damage to glassware. Filed a claim. Claim was denied without justification. I would never recommend this company. Extremely poor & disappointing. Not worth the money.
Hi Laura, we're having trouble finding you in our system. Are you sure that you used the Two Men and a Truck franchise in Pittsburgh? Each franchise is individually owned and operated. Also, we haven't received a claim about damaged boxes and broken glassware.
Two Men and a Truck moved bedroom furniture to and from a storage unit, 3 miles away. The move there was uneventful. Legs were taken off two chests, which were not wrapped for the return trip. The bases of both were badly chipped. The driver felt it necessary to wrap the furniture for the trip to storage, but not the return. He asked ME if I wanted him to wrap them. I told him to use his OWN judgment (I didn't know if the bed of the truck was padded, eg) BIG MISTAKE/BAD JUDGMENT.
We apologize for the damages that occurred to your furniture in transit out of storage. Your furniture should have been completely padded and wrapped as is our policy. Leaving the decision whether items should be padded or not to our customers is not a recipe for success.
Recently, I employed Two Men and a Truck for a move. I am extremely disappointed and off-put by the job they did, and how the company handled the issues that arose from it. To begin with, the estimate they gave me to move from a one bedroom apartment was from $1600-2000. After the fact, it ended up being $2400. I hired four men in order to make the process quicker and smoother. For my previous move with an equivalent amount of items, I hired two men from a rival company.
Alexis, we are sorry that you were dissatisfied with your move. However, a few points: We came in within the hours of your estimate. We priced and staffed your job based on your TWO pick-up locations and drop off location.
Representative came out to my home to analyze the items they'd be moving for me - which would only be under 10 pieces of furniture. the representative immediately attacked items in the home that they don't move like live plants, without taking the time to listen to me so I could review which items I wanted moved - which was several pieces of furniture only - a cake walk for a moving company! All assumptions, no listening.
We're sorry that we were unable to provide move services for you, Veronica. Your home's location, which is located around a bend/dangerous curve, simply isn't safe for our 26' box trucks or our men. That's why we sent someone to look at the location (which was very necessary).

I signed documentation stating that I agreed to their non-refundable $200 deposit. However, our circumstances changed the following day, and I requested cancellation. TMT followed their policy to the letter and are keeping every bit of my $200 deposit despite them having 16 days to rebook this move.

I hired Two Men and a Truck Pittsburgh for a local move. The whole experience was great and I would definitely use them again, and recommend to family and friends. The process of getting the quote was fast and efficient...and the actual cost was even below the low end of the estimated range. The crew was excellent: Willie, Lloyd and Lyric. They showed up on time, and immediately got to work. Liked that they were prepared to shrink wrap and pad anything that needed it.

In the past six months, due to downsizing elderly family members and buying a home ourselves, we have had to hire Pittsburgh movers on four occasions. We used multiple local companies based on who had scheduling availability when we needed it, but our movers from Two Men and a Truck yesterday were BY FAR the most professional, efficient, and careful of all of the companies that we used.
