Two Men and a Truck Moving and Storage

Horrible moving experience – severely damaged property and zero accountability. I hired Two Men and a Truck – Kansas City, MO in June 2025, and it turned into one of the most stressful, disappointing experiences I’ve ever had with a service provider. The movers who loaded our trailer for a military PCS relocation did an unprofessional and careless job.

To Owner's: If you want to reach out and discuss fell free to give me a call or send me a Email anytime.... *Update: After many months and several thousand people have read my review Two Men and a Truck still never reached out to me, They have my money but hopefully they wont take your's. *Beware** and choose another mover, We used 2 men and a truck just to move the large items from our move and I waited to think of leaving a review or not but the longer I reflect we were RIPPED OFF!

I hired them for a move at the end of January to do mostly heavy lifting. While our stuff got from point A to point B, we ran into a few issues. First, they showed up over a half hour late. Then they scratched the hardwoods in our brand new home as well as dented the wall, which ,at least, they did pay to have repaired. They were not careful with our boxes that had been clearly marked as fragile, and slammed them down on the concrete floor in our garage.

My stone dining room table was cracked in the move and I am missing one box. I've called multiple times and can get no response from the office. My movers tried to help me make the claim at the time of my move, but were told I'd have to call the office the next day. Since that time I have been ignored. The movers were great, but beware that this is a move at your own risk situation as they make it impossible to make a claim if you have damages.

Their actual moving works took only less then 3 hours but charged around 800 dollars. Be careful! Compare well to other moving companies. If you still want to use 2 men and a truck, read their charging policies carefully and be cautious when they call you and start from their office. They were charging me from the moment when they called me in the morning. In fact, after they initially called me, it took about 50 minutes to arrive at my house though the presented distance was only 15 miles.

My mother was downsizing from an 1800 square foot home to a 2 bedroom duplex. Unfortunately either she did not relay the information correctly of how much she needed to move or their office was not asking the correct questions then fact finding to see what was necessary to get her moved. Therefore they sent one truck and 3 men. Once I arrived at her home the worker informed me that not all of her things would fit on their truck.

I was refinishing my hardwood floors and needed furniture moved out into garage and a week later back in. I have an older piano that I wanted special care for, a refridgerator, washer and dryer among other things. I was quoted a 2 hour minimum at around 430.00. It was very expensive,but I didn't want my piano damaged and they worked with my dates. First move went great! Crew was wonderful and took great care with piano. They unhooked all appliances and even helped plug in refridgerator once it was in the garage.

My piano was damaged when they dropped it...I paid extra for Two Men and a Truck, located in Blue Springs, MO, to move my antique piano into storage in June and again to my permanent location in October. The first team did not bring a piano dolly, and they dropped the piano on its side. They noted on my invoice that they would check the piano for damage when it was moved out of storage.
