Two Men and a Truck Moving and Storage

Unprofessional. Damage was done to the furniture and the walls. Beds were not put back together correctly - missing pieces and bolts - parts of beds left dangerously loose. The movers were inexperienced and did not like their job.

I was assured that my move was covered by insurance. I had to pay for over 30 moving blankets and tie Downs because we were moving out of state and any existing damage needed to be seen before the truck was loaded so new damage could be covered by their insurance. When our truck was unloaded our dining table had huge gouges out of the top. There were a dozen boxes with huge holes in them where our cast iron patio furniture was piled on top of them.

On July 9, had a horrible experience with this group. The 2 young men that loaded my furniture and boxes/totes were very nice, very helpful. BUT, they broke my china cabinet, got grease all over my mini fridge and other items, got into an accident after leaving my home and showed up 2 hours later at the storage unit. I also let the office know - 2x - and NO ONE has ever followed up with my boyfriend or I. I used Siddall's to move into my new townhouse.

SLOW SLOW SLOW I moved my one bedroom apartment (2nd floor, no elevator) ACROSS THE PARKING LOT to the new construction building (4th floor, elevator access). I moved the breakables over myself and had all the boxes sealed and stacked at the door waiting. It somehow took FOUR HOURS and ended up costing me $508! Granted the guys were personable and polite and they didn't break anything, but the timing was ridiculous for two tall muscly dudes. Especially considering there was no driving distance to speak of.

Beware! Con artists! Even though we accurately completed their online inventory assessment of each item we needed moved and were provided a estimate range of what our move would cost, on moving day they basically just stood around and made every excuse not to work, including leaving for "lunch" for hours, and then spending another hour or two discussing the need for help with finishing the move. At the end of the day, five guys were standing around telling me that they'd need to come back to finish.

I used this company before a year ago and the crew I had back then were experienced crews. This time the crews I had was very inexperienced, the one with experience had a back injury a few weeks back so he can't bent his back. Plus they showed up with power tools but with dead batteries, so they used their hands to slowly unscrewed each bolt, after I realized that it was me who will be paying for their inefficiency, I decided to look for my own power tools and let them used my screw driver.

BEWARE!!! The employees at this location (2601 104th St Suite 400, Urbandale, IA 50322) steal and the management supports or possibly even colludes with them. My elderly parents finally had to get an apartment in Des Moines because my Dad has stage 4 cancer and A LOT of medical appointments all the time. It was just too hard constantly traveling from their residence in small town Iowa to Des Moines for the cancer treatments and various other medical appointments.

We hired them to move my daughter from an efficiency to another apartment and it took nearly 6 hours! Unbelievable. The estimate was 3 hours. One guy did most of the work while the other was hanging around in the truck. The guy that did most of the moving seemed unsure what to do next, stood around a lot, gabbed only a couple things at a time, and seemed to need guidance from the other guy. They hardly used the dollies and didn’t really work as a team.
