Two Men and a Truck Moving

Comments from the owner on here will say to contact them to get better answers to your concerns but calls will go no where unfortunately-no one will call you back and there will be no follow through. Salespeople will tell you a price range to get you to sign with them and then the price will be inflated after the fact. A few big "kickers" for us. We asked if they moved baby grand pianos....they said "yes, all the time....we move pianos in Nashville all the time".

My last moved cost me $1300 for a 2 bedroom. They charged me $2500 which was $1000 more than the max quote. They didn't bring any tools, lost my stuff and took 10 hours to move half a trucks worth of stuff. They discounted me 1 hour because it was more than the requote. Took 6.5 hours to load what the previous movers brought in 3 hours. One of the guys kept telling to stop working so hard and slow down.

If I had the opportunity to give a ZERO review I would. DO NOT DO NOT use the Clarksville, Tennessee office. I went approximately 3 weeks ago and talked with Chris in the office and received a quote between 485-535.00 for a move that was less than 7 miles total. The move would entail moving 7 pieces of furniture: sofa, corners cabinets, table, buffet and china cabinet. The price also included a military discount of $50.

If I could give them a 0 I would! I scheduled an appointment Thursday morning for Saturday from (12-3pm) junk removal pick up time. I called at 2:15pm to check on the status to make sure I didn’t get forgotten about the receptionist originally informed me “yep your still on the schedule for today” and mentioned she will have them call me, I never received that phone call . I called again at 4pm the receptionist again informed me she will have them call me, I never received that phone call.

UPDATE: after unpacking the boxes I had “professionally” packed I am super disappointed. I guess I should have been babysitting them to ensure my stuff was taken care of. I found a full wardrobe box of my shoes shoved at the bottom with a stool/ottoman crushing them all down and other random items on top. From nice heels to loafers, to vans and tennis shoes, all crushed and smushed at the bottom.

Let me first tell you this is my first bad experience with Two men and Truck after about 5 moves. However I will warn you all to read your contract carefully and make sure you understand about and how damages are covered. Part of your contract says estimated cost up to so many hours. So it does not matter if they have inexperinced movers or movers that want to the job. In my case fowl language, complaining about the company and proper moving skills to not damage the home.

The movers were great, customer service afterward was not acceptable or appropriate. Items arrived damaged for unknown reasons and the company refused to help me, listing implausible excuses as the reason, somehow it was my fault? I paid extra for the damage insurance yet wasn’t allowed to use it. Things get damaged, I understand, but a service like this should stand behind moving your belongings and help you if something is compromised. They could’ve helped me with the claim and not cost them a dime.

I spent 30 years in the military and moved many, many times. Never have I had such poor service as we did from Two Men and a Truck. We had two bedroom sets, 2 whiskey barrels and 8 boxes to move from our house, into a townhome. One of the beds was already broken down for them and it still took them TWO HOURS to load it all into the truck. It went downhill from there once they started unloading at the new townhome.
