Two Men and a Truck Moving

I scheduled my move back in May I believe. I had to pay $100 deposit. I was able to move my move around to Sunday but it was time and a half for the movers. The movers showed up at 9 AM. The two employees that showed for 22 men in a truck canceled my move so they could get paid the cash and then stole items when I moved into my new place in November. I’m missing an air fryer for $179, a Dyson that Was $789 and a boombox from TMobile that was $499.

DO NOT USE “TWO MEN AND A TRUCK” UNLESS YOU ARE ABLE TO GET AN ADVANCE PRE-ESTIMATE AND CONTRACT EXPLAINING ALL TERMS AND CONDITIONS … ON PAPER. THEY WILL ATTEMPT TO OVERCHARGE YOU! AND THEY HAVE! My job number with is #25755, Columbia, Maryland office. Booking Two Men and a Truck, I was asked to secure a $100.00 deposit by credit card. The job was done in less than two hours. The movers were great, however, the company, the Columbia, Maryland office, and office manager, Drew is a different story.

This is a business with no integrity, and one that does not care about its customers. As I write this I am sitting on a couch in the Columbia, MD Two Men and a Truck location being ignored, for the 3rd day in a row, by the managers. I have stored my belongings here for over 2 years after a move to Alaska. I called over a month ago, from Alaska, to confirm that I could access my storage to sort through it and get some things shipped. I bought an airline ticket, rented an AirBnB, and rental car.

Moved half my stuff and then told me I had to venmo them $700 and not tell their boss if I wanted them to move the things that weren't on their list (they refused to show me their list, which I'm certain had every item in the house). Felt like I had to say yes because they were essentially holding my baby's formula/bed/toys hostage. Not to mention the amount of damage to my items and the new house was absurd. You're better off hiring actual criminals than these guys. Avoid at all costs.

DO YOUR RESEARCH! LEARN FROM OUR MISTAKES. YOU CAN FIND A BETTER MOVING COMPANY! We should have done more research before choosing a moving company. So, we will pass our lessons learned to you so you can make a better decision. First, we were told that we were going to get four movers but instead they sent three. I called and spoke to Jake O'Melia, Operations Manager, and he said someone called out. They reduced my hourly rate but it would all even out since it will take longer.

A lot of damages to my home with only 260 dollars offered for over 2,000 dollars worth of damages. They broke the foot of a wooden bed frame, put a gauge in one landing and scratches in the hardwood floor at stair nosing and other stairs, punctured the wall and some how managed to hit the ceiling at the stairs leaving a crack/dent with furniture that is now permanently damaged.

Do NOT use this moving company. They are some of the most unprofessional incompetent and down right disrespectful movers in the state. They will also try to take advantage of anyone who will not push back against their disrespect. I had to work so my wife was in charge of supervising the move. The very first thing they say to my wife is they expect a $400 tip. Additionally, they all reeked of weed. Off to a great start.

I’m currently experiencing a frustrating situation with this company that I feel compelled to share. I used their services 18 months ago and paid in full at the time what was told I owed. However, I've been receiving persistent emails claiming that I still owe money. Despite my efforts to resolve this, including multiple conversations with representatives who assured me they would fix the issue, no one has followed up or tried to resolve the issue.
