Two Men and a Truck Moving

The movers managed to damage essentially every piece of furniture they touched and also broke my TV. They had to move the furniture less than 10 miles. Damaged furniture items included bed, couch, and cabinet.They additionally gouged and stained walls. One of the movers had a highly unprofessional attitude and tried to deny the damage. He was also complaining about his back during the move and had difficulty lifting.

TLDR: Efficient movers, but poor communication, lost quotes, and surprise charges meant we donated furniture, rented our own truck, and still paid nearly the original price. We should have gone with another company. Full review: Ben’s team of packers and movers were dedicated professionals, and their hard work is the only reason this isn’t a 0-star review. They were efficient, respectful, and careful with our belongings.

This company was recommended by a family member. I hired them to unload my moving truck. Here is my experience: The team was slow. They not have a hand truck. They both made more trips back and forth than necessary by not having a hand truck. On several occasions I witnessed the two movers only carrying small, single items off the truck. This was inefficient and resulted in unnecessary extra time I had to pay for. When the movers were going up the outdoor steps they dropped my dresser.

Larry and Jarvis could have been more gentle with my furniture. Do to them not being gentle with my furniture, they severely cause damage to my my box spring. This not the first time Two men and truck broke my furniture. The only thing they were able to do is pay $50 for the damages they caused to my box spring and still have to pay almost $700 for the service I’m pretty sure there is a better moving company that can do a better job.

OK, these guys are supposedly experienced and have moved everything. Slumberland recommended them to remove our old sofa and loveseat. Won't quote a price, depending on the size of the truck and space used. They won't quote a price until they arrive? I'm an engineer, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure up how much space a couch and loveseat will take using the average dimensions of furniture. They kept saying they wouldn't set a price for the two pieces.

I had heard such positive reviews about Two Men that I decided to use a professional moving company for the first time because I wanted as much of a stress- free experience moving as possible. I was very disappointed not only in the move experience but especially in the follow up customer service from Mike Reps, GM & franchise owner.

We previously used Two Men and a Truck for a local move from one home in Byron to another. That experience was mixed because we didn’t have enough manpower or truck space. When it came time for our recent move from Byron to the Twin Cities, I specifically brought up those concerns with the representative during the quoting process. I wanted to make absolutely sure we had enough trucks and movers this time. To avoid running into the same issue, I intentionally overestimated the number of boxes and items we had.

All the items that were put in th caged storage section, inside the back of there building, were damaged, broken and/or scratched, from being stacked in a small cube, unprotected, 7'+ high!! Nothing wrapped!! Everything is covered with cement dust, including my clothes, linen and towels. I paid for the unit described as inside, secure, heated storage! Not a cage in the back of an office building that they just decided to put up some cage wire and a padlock.
