You Move Me Minneapolis

Like other reviews I've seen You Move Me works like this: you receive a very professional call that walks you through the process, quotes a price slightly higher (and more hours) than other companies but they make a convincing case that they will provide really good service and take care with your abode and property. Thereafter, it is a complete disaster. I cannot write a strong enough worded warning not to use this company. The day before a company we received a call asking to add another mover to our job.

Between work and not even wanting to share my experience I’ve procrastinated my review but since I just got a request to do a review, I’ve decided to put some time aside to share. The crew was a total of 3 guys. They spent a lot of time playing music and dancing and talking amongst each other. Due to us trying to get back to the apartment in time for the scheduled key pick up from our new landlord my husband decided he will help also to move items so that we don’t fall behind time wise .

I hired these guys at end of Sept 2021. I have done close to a dozen major moves, none of them have been so expensive, incomplete, or where I had problems with theft. This company treats it's customers in a hostile, disrespectful manner. This was observed with TWO crews on 2 different occasions. They treat their failures as the fault of their customers. I engaged them with a short notice, but they said they would be able to accommodate. I need to move a 1br and 1 office household into storage.

I used this company a year ago and was very happy so used them again on 10/27 of this year. Was very happy with the moving crew as efficient and organized. We were just moving down the hall to another apartment. During the move the glass on my antique hutch was broken. The moving crew explained the company would take care of it.

I hesitated in writing a review about You Move Me. My initial phone call with them went great, they asked what I had to move and took all the details down about where I live, what is going to be packed up, and where I'm moving to. In this phone call they asked if I would like to opt in to the movers building any of my furniture, and I said I'd like them to assemble my couch and bedframe.

Edit 10/24/2020: I moved the rating to two stars. Unfortunately I had to move again so I hired you moved me because I had such a great experience before. Needless to say, I did not get the same treatment. The movers did not wrap some of my furniture (my desk, lamps, printer, and other fragile items), they put all of my boxes into one room so I had to reorganize all of my boxes (they were clearly labeled which room they should be designated to), and they weren't wearing masks when I specifically said there was a…

The good things: video walk throughs, flexible cancel policy, a second video walk through if you moved some of your own stuff. The bad: I was quoted $2600 for my whole house-furniture and everything. I had already packed up things in totes for the most part. We then moved 95% of the stuff ourself so did a second walk through. Was never sent the updated quote. I was quoted about $800 with three people and the crystal being packed up.

Originally quoted around $700 for move. Called again with changes to our original order and let them know things we needed to change/add/remove with no estimate other than it would roughly be around $900..…. Originally scheduled for a 2 man crew, ended up being a 3 man dew! One of the guys had to be replaced because he had been overwhelmed/overworked. Ended up with a 6 he job, originally scheduled with a 2 man crew for 4 1/2 hrs. Ended up being a 6 hr job with a 3 man crew which ended up being a 6 he job!!
