Two Men and a Truck Moving

It's disheartening to have to write this review, especially considering my initial positive experience. I'm absolutely furious about the moving experience on 12/22/23! These movers had the audacity to charge me $850 for a supposedly easy move, but not only did they break my furniture, they blamed it on the box truck. I know my stuff, and it's clear they broke parts of my dresser and closet. These two immature, music-blasting guys were six hours late, rushed the job, and stacked fragile boxes like it was a game.

Giving 2 stars because my belongings were not damaged.... and that's about it. My experience all in all was bad. Poor communication, disrespected my schedule, and charged me hidden fees. I don't recommend this company! From the start, the person who prepared the estimate got the addresses backwards... Once that was corrected, they couldn't get the times right. For the 730-830am time slot, the person who originally scheduled told me that that slot would be more like 8-815....

We moved from New Port Richey to Palm Harbor. They do have a crook working (mover) for them in the New Port Richey facility. This was from the facility on State Rd 54. We had put a sizeable amount of money under our dresser ( which we knew wasn't the smartest thing to do)saving for vacation, and didn't remember to get it out before the movers showed up. After the move, my husband remembered and called the manager of that facility.

I hired Two Men and a Truck to pack and move locally. I was in a car accident a few months back and was not physically capable of packing and moving boxes. They sent out an Estimator that walked through my entire townhouse so they were fully aware of the contents that were to be packed and moved. The estimate was between $1500-$1800 and the total cost ended up being $2800. The estimate included going by my storage unit and picking up a dining room table. That part didn't happen because the truck was full.

If I could give them zero stars I would. I planned a short move with them, very basic items, I was quoted a certain time frame and they passed the time and charged me for it. One of the items included in the move was a 75 inch tv, I didn’t pay for the insurance because honestly I’ve moved many times and never had anything broken so I didn’t think I needed it. They insisted I rent a box for the tv which I did, when they were unloading the items they grabbed the tv forcefully and pressed on the screen.

We used Two Men and a Truck a couple of times before and they were five star. This time was a poor experience. We needed packing service for a relative, not furniture transport (2 pieces only) - mainly boxes. We could not pack up the apartment ourselves due to Covid19 restrictions at the senior living facility. An estimator that went to the apartment in advance said that it would take about three hours. In the end it took 7 1/2 hours for a local move.

I hired this company for our move that was to occur today, but they have totally screwed us and not shown up. They were expensive at $130/hr (more than $2 per minute!), but we were in a hurry so I hired them. I spoke with their office immediately after the sales/estimator left on Tuesday to confirm the move. The office manager informed me everything was confirmed and set up for Saturday (today). She said I'd receive a call or email with the estimated time of arrival closer to move date.

I had a 1000 sq foot home. Took 11 hours to load and unload to the tune of $1700 and my move was only 30 minutes away! My son and I had to make 3 trips back to my old house to pick up all the stuff the movers did not and would not take! My nerves were shot! Never would I recommend this company nor use this company again. The manager called me and was to get back with me, but he never called again. I requested a refund for a few hundred dollars due to the fact that they left lots of my belongings.
