This is a long overdue review and is specifically for Two Men and a Truck Schaumburg. Mundelein and Plainfield were awesome when we did our first two moves several years ago, Schaumburg, not so much. We moved at the end of October 2024 and it was a horrible experience. First, they didn’t bring a big enough truck and literally had to cram everything we owned in there despite us filling out the inventory form correctly.

We were told it would take 6 hours and it took 12 (we were charged for 9). We had to submit a detailed list of all the furniture in our home, but the company was still not prepared for our home. The men were slow, would hide behind the truck to use their phones, and verbally fought on our lawn. The movers lacked simple training and tools that a professional company should have. They also lacked leadership and seemed not to know what to do next.

Used these guys to move out of a house a few years back, they quoted me $1113-$1443 to go from my house to storage for a partial unload and to reload the remaining items at my temporary housing. I ended up only needing them to go to storage, so the workers moved as slowly as possible and still charged me the full $1482. To make matters worse, when I went to get my furniture from storage a few months later, my wife’s makeup vanity was broken and covered in a blanket to hide it.

Team broke my 8 year old bed frame at the welded spots. 4 center welded spots to be exact. Never said a word. If it wasn't for us trying to move the bed to adjust the headboard height and not being able to, and husband going underneath to see what was going on, we, as senior citizens, could have been hurt when our heavy Purple mattress would have made it collapse in time. Husband had to sleep on the floor and me in a recliner until a new bedframe was ordered.

My son hired them to move a couch from my house to theirs. Damaged 5 walls at both places. When I called they offered to send an employee with a can of spackle. I refused and hired professionals @ cost of $700. They will not reimburse and I will have to file a small claims case.

Ridiculously priced. Wanted to send me 3 movers and quoted 5-6 hours for a small 1 bedroom/1 office apartment. Only big things needing to move was a bed, bed frame, and 3 couches. Professional movers that need 3 guys for a small apartment.

Great experience with Two Men and a Truck. Jon A. and Odell were very professional, took great care with my mother's furniture. They were on time, super nice guys and even moved a piece of furniture because I changed my mind on where to put the item. They disassembled two pieces and reassembled them expertly. I'd give them a 10 rating if I could. The price I was quoted was extremely affordable. I've used Two Men before and were very happy with the company. I highly recommend them.
