Two Men and a Truck Moving

One of the worst moving experiences we've ever had. Quoted by the owner for a 5-6 hour move, the 3 men were extremely slow, didn't get all of our items moved in that time frame and had to leave for another job. They didn't wrap or protect our furniture. Our expensive king size mattress was torn and stained with a black-tar like substance, a desk was gouged and scratched, a nightstand has a chunk of wood missing and my son's new white dresser has black marks on the top of it.

Would not recommend. We had 11 pieces of furniture at two houses all ready, some in the driveway, we wanted it to go smoothly and quickly. They loaded the stuff from the first house and we drove to meet them at the second. It took them almost 45 minutes to get there after we had already arrived and brought more stuff down the stairs to the driveway. They refused to use the gate entrance and parked on the road far from the apartment.

If I could choose zero stars, I would. We had Two Men and a Truck move us into our new home one year ago. At the end of the move process, one of the movers told me that he had to show me something. Our headboard had been broken during the move and he apologized, saying that he had not tied it down properly in the truck. This bedroom suite was one that we paid $3500 for because it was solid oak and made in the US.

I used Two Men and a Truck to move my household items into a storage unit for 6 months. I trusted that they would know how to reasonably place items in storage to prevent damage from occurring during that time. Apparently, they stacked intricate tables on top of light colored sofa cushions that not only stained the cushion but created large indents in the fabric. I thought it would be common sense to not put the face side up of the cushion against something that would cause indents as such, but clearly not.

Do NOT use this company! They abandoned us on the day of our move, damaged our lawn and refused to pay for it AND kept half our deposit. When I hired them to move us, they told me that I would forfeit my deposit if I cancelled within 3 days of my move. What they didn't tell me was that they would keep half of my deposit ($695) if one of their incompetent drivers made a mistake. We hired them to move us with 2 26’ trucks last month. We had ~3 inches of snow on the ground.

We usually move ourselves but we needed movers this time because I sustained a neck injury in a vehicle accident in December, 2018, for which I am in physical therapy. We scheduled a move with Two Men and a Truck Mid-Missouri for two 26' trucks, to load in Jamestown, MO on 2/18/19 and unload in Barnhart, MO on 2/19/19. At $5580, this was not the cheapest option for us, by far. But we chose them based on their good reviews.

We hired Two Men and a Truck to off load our trailer. We noticed a few behaviors that were shady like excessive breaks, spending copious amounts of time out of view. One guy was particularly interested in asking questions about the contents of boxes. He tried to move a stand up jewelry box in the garage, little did he know the thing was used as a sewing box ! We are missing several items that I know came off the truck ! My children's toys a crock pot and various other things!

Our house was not fully moved/packed. The movers worked slowly most of the day and then suddenly announced that they had to leave at 9pm no matter what and that not all of our things would fit on their trucks. When we asked to speak to their manager he refused to talk to us on the phone and I could hear him laughing about this through the phone. We paid them $10,000 for this move and our stuff was damaged and our hard wood floors were scratched.
