Two Men and a Truck Moving

Very disappointing. Although the move and our family’s needs had been discussed extensively during the estimate meeting, the process was completely unprofessional. Only 2 people were sent to pack on the first day- 2 people for almost 4000 sq ft- one of which was clearly not trained and spent most of the day packing the office- or goofing around and getting his fingers stuck in the decor he was supposed to be packing. That’s not an exaggeration.

Day 2 was the worst! Movers showed up at 12:30pm. One of the movers was completely passed out and would not wake up after numerous attempts. I helped the other mover move my stuff for over 3 hours until the passed out one woke up. When he woke up, he was still out of it, unsteady on his feet, belligerent, not helping much, and slamming my furniture around. Day 1! Movers showed up at 9:30am. The soon to be passed out guy, walked in with a completely political incorrect shirt on and made sure to point it out to me.

Had two men and a truck move me on May 24. Everyting was fine until i went to put things on a bookcase and the shelves were missing. I called two men and they said they would look into it. I called a few days later and they said the same thing. I called today 6/25 and he basically said i was sol. No apology no refund no nothing. He said if it was broken they would fix or refund but missing shelves dont qualify. Will not use them again and will tell anyone i know not to as well.

Move was originally scheduled for Tuesday. The drivers did not show up bc they claimed to not have an apt number nor a telephone number so I had to reschedule for the next day. The next day during my move, my granite table was dropped and broken. I was assured that it would be fixed or I would be reimbursed. I have called numerous times as well as sent emails and have not received a response.

The movers did a good job but a heavy piece of furniture was left in the basement. I called Jack from the Dayton office and Mike from corporate to have this cabinet moved at their cost because they forgot it. I had to call a handful of times, left voicemails and waited on hold for 10 minutes only to call back and be told the office is closed for the day even though it was only 1pm and they closed at 5pm. I don’t appreciate being blown off. I called corporate and Mike transferred me and had Jack take the call.

I chose Two Men and a Truck because I’ve used them before, my kids have used them, and friends have used them but this was the worst experience. I requested someone to come to our property to give us a quote for the move but was told they wanted to do the quote over the phone. I provided everything being moved through our conversation and disclosed the house was a 2 story home with approx 3200 sq ft plus 1200 sq ft basement. The only unknown was the number of boxes being moved.

Would give zero stars if possible. Do not use these movers! We had multiple issues during our move, the main one being that they did not return our items that they left in their truck, after days of saying they would. I had to go pick them up myself. There were other issues during the move too. They are not honest! Please read this text message I sent to the boss (I never got a reply): “We had a very unsatisfactory experience with this move.

This is, without question, one of the most unprofessional moving companies I have encountered. The company sent three movers, two of whom were young and clearly inexperienced. The third, presumably the senior member of the team, arrived with completely inadequate equipment. He attempted to disassemble my bed using basic, substandard tools. As a result of his incompetence and lack of proper preparation, my bed was irreparably damaged and had to be discarded.
