In their own words
They damaged a lot of our belongings and dry wall, valuable items went missing, movers complained about the job the whole time and they played with the kids toys. One of them even reeked of weed. We’ve used Two Men and a Truck multiple times before and never had this bad of an experience. We had them pack, they didn’t even bring markers and labeled things with our toddlers crayons, if they labeled at all. They just threw most things in boxes without any regard for items breaking.
If I could give them a negative star I would. They were hired for a 3 hour slot 3-6 PM. I never received any contact or tracking information. I didn’t get a call until 8:30 PM with the movers stating that they would not arrive until 9 PM. No one gave me an update prior to the call at 8:30 so at this point I thought they weren’t coming. Complete waste of time and an huge inconvenience. I didn’t allow them to come 2.5 hours late but they offered to get me in first thing in the morning.
(Let me start by saying, I gave the office a chance to rectify this problem before leaving my review. They said they would reach out to their corporate office and get back to me, this has been almost a month ago): I used Two Men and a Truck 3 times, the third time was awful. The first two times was a fairly small move. The third time was a big move but we had most of our furniture moved to the front of the house with the exception of a couple of large items.
I was excited to use this company as they were recommended by two friends. When I called, the guy who went over everything and gave me my quote was very knowledgeable and professional. The day of the move, the two men who showed up were polite and respectful, but Two Men/Truck needs to do a better job of training new employees.
The office staff was nice enough but the movers were a whole different experience. This was all observed by me and my friends and boyfriend. The 2 men barely arrived on time they smelled of Body odor and marijuana. They worked really slow, I’m assuming because I was getting charged by the hour and they were high, they were so slow I had my friends help so I could at least make it by the estimated time it was going to take.
I am very sorry to hear about your experience. This is not how we expect our teams to conduct themselves or the level of service they are expected to provide. I would like to get more information from you as this is something we do not take lightly.
My girlfriend and I recently moved into the Dayton area on the 11th of May 2019, and had moving help from our location in Indianapolis to load up a truck that was rented by Uhaul and had enlisted the help of Two Men and a Truck, Vandalia location, for assistance of two unloaders simply to unload the truck at our new location.
Update: 7 August 2025. I am updating the review to reflect the issues being resolved and a representative of the company reaching out to fix the issue. Original Review: I had a mixed experience with Two Men and a Truck. The two movers who came were polite and professional, and Courtney, who helped schedule the move, was also courteous and helpful. That said, the experience with management has been extremely disappointing.
I apologize this went under the radar. We have now been in contact and are on the way to resolution.
The two movers were very nice, respectful, and professional, and I appreciated their positive attitudes. Unfortunately, I didn’t receive the level of service I paid for. My entire house was not moved as expected, and I still had to spend the next two days making multiple truckloads myself to get everything to my new home. That left me questioning what I actually paid for, especially considering the cost of the service.

Daniel and Isiah were our movers. They called ahead to give me an arrival time. They were on time which is very important to me. They got to work immediately and started wrapping all of the furniture with pads to keep them safe. They had to take the furniture to 3 locations and deliver it and they did a terrific job! I would definitely use this company again and also recommend them to anyone. Also, the two movers were very nice, professional, and hard working.

Service Date was 9/16/20 (morning). I had a mostly good experience. All my furniture was moved as needed. I had 3 men and two of them were extremely professional and courteous. Their names were Nate and Sanchez. I gave a 4 instead of a 5 because I was really frustrated with the 3rd gentleman, Country. I feel he could use some training in professionalism. He spent a lot of time telling me about his personal life and his pregnant girlfriend.
On September 29, Two Men and a Truck moved for us. They were wonderful. I was very pleased with the crew -Brandon M., Chris C., and James B. They were thorough, quick, yet careful. They were ever mindful of how much time they were taking and were able to complete the move under estimated time and under budget. They were honest about not being able to safely getting a deep freezer into a basement after trying and more than willing to locate it to another space for us.
Overall, this was a good experience. I don't want any defensive remarks after this review,especially because this is 100% accurate. The movers themselves were pretty good. According to management, the office had me down for a 1:30 to 4:30 move. I was told by the office staff 12 pm to 3pm. Just after the movers called me to apologize for being late (at3pm, )and trying to reschedule, they said that they had a late job and they would be at my place at approximately 5:45 pm. They did arrive at 5:45 pm.
