Two Men and a Truck Moving

I never leave negative reviews but I am making an exception this time. On Saturday June 6, 2026 Two Men and Truck in Lexington, Ky moved a portion of my furniture from 40509 to 40505. The movers arrived around 9:00am. Within 30 minutes of arrival they dropped an Armoire through the wall in my stairwell resulting in a large 1ft x 1ft hole in the Sheetrock as well as several other holes and scratches in the Sheetrock and floor.

Extremely disappointing experience with Two Men and A Truck. They failed to properly pack items, double-charged my credit card, forced unnecessary storage fees, and ultimately lost over $4,000 worth of my belongings. Communication was terrible — I was repeatedly told a manager would call me back, and no one ever did. At one point, I was even told there was no record of my missing items. What’s most frustrating is the clear sense that they know customers have little recourse.

Bad experience with this business. My move was across the street . I could have completed it with family members but wanted the help of professional movers to ensure my furniture would be well taken care of. I agreed to the fee of $650 plus to move the basics : two bedroom suites , a sofa, washer/dryer, dining table and china cabinet . Every piece of my bedroom suite was damaged in the move and the chest of drawers was dropped. The footboard on the other bed was also damaged (I have pictures of it all).

I strongly advise against using TWO MEN AND A TRUCK (Richmond/Lexington). My recent experience was a nightmare. During my move-out, their movers mishandled my sleeper sofa, causing significant gouges and scratches to my flooring, which my landlord later charged me $1,500 to repair. They also broke a leg off my couch, rendering it unusable. I documented everything with photos immediately after the move and provided receipts.

HORRIBLE experience for my parents (elderly)! Initial set up of moving date was relayed with details of how many belongings would need moved. A 3-br house and 2 outdoor buildings. MULTIPLE calls were made by my mom frequently up to the move date to confirm. She even asked if someone would come out and look at everything to ensure they could get it all moved in one day. Garrett kept indicating they didn’t come out to assess and continued to reassure her it would easily be taken care of.

Office staff I delt with were new and not very helpful from day one. As I am on my way to my new home, 3+ hours away, The movers called me and said they couldn’t fit all my stuff in the truck and wouldn’t be able to take it all. I called the office and they told the movers to rearrange the truck, they did twice and STILL left stuff behind when there was plenty of room on the truck. Not to mention, I had one full room empty and no couch that they had to move when I done my movers check list for them.

I would give this company a zero star if I could. I spent over $4,000 on a move from Kentucky to Tennessee. I reached out to the office manager who sent me to damage control, over a brand new glider that was covered in sweat and stains from the movers for my daughters nursery. They insured me that they would have the chair professionally cleaned, and if still not satisfied that they would gladly replace then to go back on their word completely and tell me that there is nothing that can be done due to a liability…
