Two Men and a Truck Moving

I don’t even know where to begin to describe the horrible experience we had with this company… We are still recovering from it and very much regret using them. What should have been a very easy and straightforward move, since we had very little furniture and almost all boxes were previously packed by us, turned out to be the most difficult, damage bearing, frustrating, unprofessional and emotionally disturbing move EVER!

I had several people refer them to me because of their great service, sadly that wasn't my experience. I was wanting a quote for a big cross country move and with the raving reviews I got from several people they were on the top of my list. I was contacted by a very friendly lady to get details on a move, I had high hopes at this point, but then never heard back from them.

Horrendous service!!!! If you are moving anything remotely valuable stay away from this company. Hiring them is equivalent to donating your stuff to them as they do what they please with your stuff. 1st they did not send me any paperwork before the move. When I called asking for paperwork, the lady at the other end verbally confirmed the date and time. They did not send me the paperwork. Then the movers broke one of the most expensive pieces along with another table. Value was >5k. Then started the train of lies.

I've moved with them twice in the last 3 months. The first move they sent a team of what I as a 38 year old will call kids. They damaged my expensive desk by putting all pf the weight on a non load bearing side, lost pieces of my expensive TV mount that they dismounted so a $300 TV mount is useless now, they were hours late, scheduled at 9am showed up around 1pm, they took their sweet as time, and they bitched and complained about everything.

I give Two Men and a Truck one star for picking up the phone. We called and got an estimate and excepted. We paid up front. Two men came and gathered all our stuff and said it would be on the way. My wife gets a call saying they need another another $4,558.49 on top of the 7k we already gave them. They have our stuff ransom. Never use two men and a truck. Dishonest people.

I want to start by saying that, through 90% of the process, I was very content with the end-to-end customer experience with great personnel, augmented by a technology-driven paperless process. The folks who came to pack, load and unload were professional, courteous and awesome! Special thanks to them!! But after the 90% AMAZING experience, it was all downhill from there which I think could have very easily been avoided.

I’m writing to share my experience with how this company handled a piece of furniture they damaged during a recent move. The movers who were sent were careless and ended up breaking a large, high-quality beveled mirror that sits atop my dresser—an expensive and cherished piece. At the time, both movers were apologetic and assured me that the mirror would be repaired and returned promptly. That seemed fair—until the replacement was delivered.

Linda coordinated our move and, although she was transitioning to a new position, agreed to see the process through. Unfortunately, there were several issues throughout the move: Our move dates changed, and those changes were communicated to Linda. However, the original truck reservation was never canceled, resulting in a truck arriving on the wrong date. The size of the truck was significantly underestimated despite detailed information being provided regarding the contents of our home, including golf cart.
