Two Men and a Truck Moving

Would have given two stars for accomplishing moving our items from point A to point B (although it was only two blocks away) if not for the unresponsiveness of their customer service in addressing the damages caused during the move. 1) Showed up late. 2) Damaged every single piece of large furniture we had except for our televisions (thankfully). 3) Destroyed our dining room table beyond repair - they took it with them to dump.

Hired this company for a very small packing-only job. Arrived in a huge truck which I warned when booking the job would not fit in my driveway and for them to send a van instead. This message never reached the dispatcher and sure enough the enormous truck that arrived got stuck in the middle of a busy road and police had to come to direct traffic for two hours while a tow truck came to move the truck.

First the good - the office team and the move team were courteous and friendly both to us and the building staff. However the reason for 2 stars is that they arrived 45 minutes late, and moved slowly to get things in and out, especially taking over an hour to drive the 25 blocks we were moving "due to traffic" (I took a cab and was there in 10 minutes).

I spoke to a representative who gave me a flat rate. They said if it is shorter than their estimated time, the price would be less. After the move, they billed me double the price. I brought this issue up to the mover who called his supervisor. The supervisor spoke so poorly to the mover. The supervisor said they will pull up my initial phone call to demonstrate that they informed me of an hourly rate. They pulled it up and at no point did they mention the hourly rate, and proved that they gave me a flat rate.

Chris and the other 2 guys were friendly. I was assured my items would be wrapped in blankets, it wasn't. It was wrapped in a thin plastic. The gentleman told me that I would have to pay an extra $15 plus dollars each blanket to wrap my sofa and loveseat in blankets. I stressed how important that was whwn I spoke to the lady for the quote.My dresser that I've had for many years had suddenly broken the moment Chris touched it. He promised me he would repair it for free, that never happened.

My mother, a retired officer in law enforcement recently used your services towards the end of May, only to have her home taken advantage of. There were three individuals in her home when there were supposed to be only two. Not only was the property damaged as well as some furniture, one of the individuals who was inside her home stole from her wallet while her back was turned!

I hope your next moving experience is significantly better. That improvement could easily happen if you are fortunate enough to have TWO MEN who genuinely care and A TRUCK that functions properly. In my case, while the TWO MEN did wrap the furniture, instead of lifting it, they dragged it across the floor and ground. I assumed I was paying for lifting services, as I could have dragged my furniture myself.

I wish that I could give 0 stars, that's how bad our experience was with these movers. Let's start from the beginning: 1. The estimate was WAY off. The movers took no responsibility for this and could not provide another truck for the rest of our stuff. We ended up having to rent a u-haul. As a moving company, not sure how you don't have a contingency fleet of trucks in cases like this. 2. The movers were not COVID-19 compliant. Masks were only worn upon arrival but removed soon after.
