Two Men and a Truck Moving

You're better off setting your stuff on fire than using Two Men. Abysmal customer service, inflexible, expensive. No-showed to a confirmed appointment and wouldn't do anything but bump me to another day. But it's a blessing in disguise because after doing some research turns out they damage stuff without paying for it, their movers are inept and slow, and the actual cost is usually DOUBLE the estimate and they force you to give your credit card or they hold your stuff hostage.

Expect to get GHOSTED you when you follow up on an expected reimbursement and damage to furniture. Also shady business practices. I first used them in September to move my belongings to temporary storage. I was told if I chose to rent the furniture covers, that I would be reimbursed if I used them for the next move. I used them again when I moved a couple months later in November. Never got the reimbursement. This second time, my couch was damaged and a damage report was filled out.

Worst movers I've ever used. Can't possibly recommend this company any less. Do yourselves a favor and hire anyone else if you can. I originally requested a quote for moving from my apartment to a local storage unit. I then called and asked for the estimate to be amended to add packing services. I specifically told them that I have a lot of ceramics and breakables. I emailed the destination address of the storage locker to the company a full two weeks ahead of the moving date.

They say their core value is the Grandma Rule to "treat everyone the way you want your grandma to be treated." Well, you should use them if you want Nana to be completely abandoned, left distraught, and to be met with zero accountability. We entrusted this company to help my elderly parents move. We were given a 1 hour arrival window, and when the movers hadn't arrived, we called the office and were informed they were finishing the previous move and should be contacted soon by the movers.

My family recently used Two Men and a Truck to downsize from a larger home to a smaller one. Overall, the movers were polite, punctual, and hard working if I could rate them separately I would give them 5 stars. The origin of the 2-star review is the fact that the company severely low-balled the estimate for moving the home. In fact, the bill was DOUBLE the estimate.

First off, I NEVER write bad reviews for businesses but our experience was so bad that I had to. We didn’t realize how bad it was until the day was complete. First off we had four men moving us. It took way too long because they weren’t efficient and our neighbors told us two guys were hanging out “packing” (really talking…) the truck while two would come up and down.

Our experience with Two Men and a Truck was a nightmare of biblical proportions. The movers smashed an expensive lamp, did not move our TV in the protective case that we paid extra for, AND decided to take apart to pieces multiple furniture items that we asked them to keep assembled. When they finally got to the destination (the movers decided to take a break en route without telling us, so we had no idea where they were with all of our stuff — which sparked a nice little panic attack for us when they simply…

Absolutely terrible. They lost two boxes on a day-of trip and have refused to respond despite at least 5 emails and phone calls over a two-week period. They also assured me the job would be complete in one day, but around 6pm the crew told us they only had to 7pm and so started leaving all our items in the garage, which will require me to get a second moving company to finish the job I already paid for. Lastly, they charged us to dispose of a couch and didn’t even take all of it.
