VIP Moving Company

We hired VIP Moving Company to move us from our home in Burleson, TX to our new home in Corsicana, TX on Saturday, June 9, 2018. We were charged $105/hour and an additional charge of $150 because it was a house, rather than an apartment. Due to the incompetence of the moving crew, it took them 7 hours, so the move wasn't completed until almost 10:00PM that night. Our total charge was $885, plus the $60 tip we gave to each member of the crew, for a total of $945.

I have used them a number of times and referred others. Each time I have been deeply disappointed. They are extremely unprofessional, not timely and inconsistent with quoted pricing. This last time we had to call to verify, seemed like they lost our reservation and then to top it off they were over 3 hours late.

I use this company to move a year ago. I was moving from a duplex to a house. Just bought a brand new $4,000 refrigerator from Best Buy before moving. Best Buy installers remove doors to install in the duplex. I instructed the movers that I hired from this company to please take the doors off because that's how it was installed. I was told by them multiple times that they will not remove the doors that they know what they're doing.

I would not recommend this company, very unprofessional. I never write reviews, even if it was bad however, this was just ridiculous. I had an appointment scheduled with VIP movers, from 12-3pm. It had rained earlier that morning but had stopped by 1pm. Which is when I called as well as sent a text to confirm if I was still scheduled. I was told "yes". So I waited and waited. It was already on a Sunday and my storage closed at 5pm, which is where I was moving my things.

Services are paid by the hour. We ordered two trucks and four movers. We had everything boxed, gathered in one location, we took apart our own furniture. When the movers arrived, we gave instructions and showed them the beds and dressers in each room. They wandered around the house for a bit and finally began moving items, to the truck, 30 minutes later. When they moved things, they would take turns loading one trip at a time. Then slowly lift that one load up to the truck and down.

We had agreed of a window time of 11AM to 1PM. They arrived at 1:30PM it was three men. One of the guys that took care of the paper work was so rude and condescending. I asked reasonable questions regarding the paper work and he responded with a attitude and annoyance. Another thing was that my dog was in his cage while they were moving out our furniture and the same rude guy started tell my dog to shut up? Like what?

Update: they never came when they said they would. Everyone waited about 4.5 hours for them. Unfortunately, we had to call them to give up on this moving company altogether. We hired a different moving company, instead, and they came on the time and date they stated they would arrive. No hassles at all with a different moving company. The rudest people I've ever dealt with in a moving company. We texted them to ask about a window of time for them to arrive and they said, "I'll let you know, sir".

Please what ever you do. DO NOT!!! Go with this man!!! He answer his phone as Mark every single time. So I was scheduled for a Thursday pick up at 12 noon but then my new place wasn't ready so I had to cancel and he((Mark) said he could come on Friday 12 noon. I said ok. Friday come and I called at 12:05pm and Mark said he was running late and would be heading my way soon. He (Mark) calls me back at exactly 12:15pm and says I am not going to make to unil 2:30pm.
