I made one of the biggest mistakes of my move by choosing this company. Unlike reputable movers, they never sent anyone to my home to perform an in-person estimate. Everything was done virtually. When I asked if someone could come to my house and properly assess the move, I was told they do not provide in-home estimates.
I gave movers permission to tape up already packed boxes and without my knowledge they crammed a 15lb donation bag of clothes into a box filled with expensive coach purses. I went through their very lengthy claims process and they will not help me at all. This is my 6th time using movers and my first time with this company and my 1st time ever having any of my items damaged. I will absolutely never use this company.
I am in the middle of a nightmare move with this company. We still have not received our property two weeks after it was picked up and way past the guaranteed delivery date. In fact, for two weeks they did not notify us of any delay and …
Everything was done very professionally and quickly. Excellent communication. The price I was quoted was the price I paid-no sneaky nickel and dime add ons. I am referring only to the packing and departing portion. However, the delivery was a disaster in more than one way. Ward: 1. Left me a voicemail with the wrong date for delivery of my belongings. 2. Sent a single driver who didn’t want to review the inventory recorded before unloading and leaving. 3.

In the beginning of the move, the estimator & packers were courteous and attentive (though 2 of the art pieces were damaged, b/c not well protected in packing). When the team arrived at our house in the new city, the crew that unloaded were not aligned with the move coordinator. The crew was particularly irritated that they had to move some of the heavier items even though this items were a part of our quote from the very beginning.
The process started off great, Stacy was super helpful. The bid was not the lowest I received but I felt confident since Stacy assured me he would be with me throughout the whole process. I realized the weight seemed high, and he changed it to a “not to exceed.” The driver then came but had not weighed the truck and had no intention to. I called and eventually that was sorted but the driver also informed me that he would be delivering several days after the delivery window I was given ended.
Using Ward has been the worst experience I have ever had during a move. Jim Back and Nathaniel Shreve have done nothing, but mislead and ignore all the problems they created. We had multiple lost boxes, lost furniture, broken items, and on the move in they broken something in the new house. They then throw up their hands and say they can't do anything cause its all of the carrier. Then the carrier says they can't do anything cause its all on the insurance company. It is one big joke.
This is our 7th move and would give these guys a 0 if it wasn’t for Joseph there driver. Worst service ever (found broken bed frame hidden under our master). Both 3rd parties were late to the assigned time (which they verified with me). …

Great job getting everything moved and handling last minute changes due to a family member ending up in the hospital during the move. They were attentive to details regarding fragile items and arrived at the appointed times. They put down protective floor pathway and threshold coverings, and hauled everything off when finished loading and unloading.

The entire company was so helpful with our move from VA to FL. Steve, Mike and their crew each location were organized, attentive to detail and made our lives so easy during a stressful time.
