This was, without question, the worst experience I have ever had with a moving company. The process began with what can only be described as a bait-and-switch pricing model. Instead of sending a representative to evaluate the home in person and discuss the scope of the move, the company required a video walkthrough. That approach may be convenient for them, but it proved to be wildly inaccurate and resulted in a final cost and timeline that bore little resemblance to what was initially represented.

Impossible to contact a person in the beginning. Only AI over and over. Finally was given a project manager, Jason, to get move processed. After they took my deposit, tried to contact the project manager 5 times to clarify some things . Never returned my messages and cell calls. Day before move someone contacts me with additional info that went against what I was told by Jason. Found damage to piece after they left. They were in a big hurry to get out and their lead mover had me sign all these papers and pay.

As I start my move out process - I started searching for residential movers. Being one of the first business that came up when I searched Google this morning (03.31), I decided to get a quote for my 1bed apartment movers into another 1 bed apartment within 8-12 mile radius. TLDR: the rep asked me if $900-$1,200 was within my budget, & and I said no that’s way out of what I was thinking, and then got a “okay have a good day” and hung up.

This moving company is extremely expensive for the level of service. They even charge a none refundable $50 fee just to hold your booking that doesn’t go towards your moving expenses. They don’t offer a weekday discount, like most other moving companies do! The movers were okay overall, mainly Dwayne, however, some items were damaged and I submitted a claim within the 90 day window. I have emailed Angie numerous times to no avail regarding my items that were damaged.

This is quite literally the worst moving company to ever deal with. Please look somewhere else. They quote you a price and then they bang you for more money on moving day. This is their business model.

Honest review here and I will not sugar coat anything. The experience overall was great and know that all things considered, it was 5 stars. I’ll start by saying this… you get what you pay for. I was shopping around for quotes and initially I wasn’t going to select Wirks, but I am glad I did after considering various factors and multiple quotes. Trent. Selene, Luis, and Melvin did great work today. They arrived on time and packed a few “leftovers” (things I forgot to point out yesterday!) quickly. Then they began to methodically load the truck from back to front and top to bottom of the house. I was really surprised when they were ready 2 hours laters. When I arrived at the new place, they had already opened the truck and staged for off-loading the contents.

The Wirk Team was incredibly helpful with my move to Atlanta, but the true standout of the experience was the team lead, Rashaad. He made the entire process easy, seamless, and, frankly, kind of fun!
