Where to begin? The company depicted on their website is a complete misrepresentation of how the moving team actually operates and acts. To begin with, it is not the same company, the move is subcontracted to a third party. It felt like going to a fancy restaurant but when they bring you the food, it's actually from McDonald's. Not the price though, just the food. In order to keep their prices competitive, they barely mention the insurance, which keep in mind, is 60 cents/pound (more on this later).

Careful, polite, and punctual movers. They wrapped furniture, moved stuff into the spaces in the final home, unwrapping. Nice guys: they did a great job. ***However*** I was overcharged, as final signed time when movers left was not what they charged me or invoiced me, and despite emailing and phoning company, no refund or even any response. I got through to a person, they said the one to look at the issue just got into work and would call me back, and still no call.

This company is atrocious. The people they send cannot be called professional movers; they have the grace, preparation and finesse of a chimp. They showed up late, without any awareness of what was being done and without the proper materials - specifically a mattress bag and wardrobe boxes. Excuses, excuses, excuses. The move was slow. Very slow. It took three hours longer than I was quoted and could have been four hours longer if I didn’t work hard moving boxes around the house during the unload. I probably saved myself a few hundred dollars by “joining” the crew at the end. The heat and a patch of rain were to blame for the massive discrepancy between quote and reality according to the company.

I will never recommend anyone to this shipping company. In April I booked for 2 men to move my furniture. When they came they were tired from another move they had earlier. I was going to pay but when they shoved all the boxes and furniture into my new home, they broke my $3,000.00 wall unit. Damaged my furniture by not covering it correctly. Also I paid for mattress cover when they didn’t cover anything. The box spring was dirty.

I made the mistake of hiring You Move Me Toronto to move 2 Restoration Hardware cabinets a total of 4.6km. After laughing that I'd hired such a large truck to move only 2 cabinets, the 3 movers packed the cabinets upright instead of flat in the truck. The cabinets toppled over during the short drive and the metal handle that releases the open/locking mechanism broke making the cabinet useless.

The estimator came by and after a walk through the house and garage quoted us $2,800.00 tax included, for 4 men and 1 truck. Sep 28, moving day, 3 men and two trucks arrive with a 4th man arriving several hours later. They were pleasant and courteous but rough and damaged our hardwood floor in 4 places, damaged several antiques and ripped our leather recliner. They couldn't load everything so had to leave some items behind and return the following day to retrieve them.
