Zippy Shell

BE AWARE!!! Upon reading the other reviews it's obvious that this company runs a scam. After my move I received a random charge of $200 on my credit card. When I called to ask about this they told me there was a problem with their system and refunded me. This to me sounds like fraud especially since another reviewer claimed the same thing happened to them. I’m convinced all the positive reviews are fake. My move was disastrous.

My experience was a nightmare ,labor worker very rude impatient no impathy towards disabled beware I would not recommend absolutely not my reservation was for 8am Was told by this man that never address his self told me he had to wait on workers to come in was told they would arrive by 11am I’m disable handicap with Powerchair and other medical devices to maintain daily life these To guys did not show up after numerous and numerous of calls they anrri 130 pm aggravating agony and pain I insured with these two…

I moved from Horsham to Phoenixville recently. The team that was sent to pickup my things and storage them was fantastic. Five stars for them. But that is the end of the good experience. I arranged for Zippy Shell to deliver my things on 6/17/2026. This was confirmed on 5/27/2026 in writing via email. The day before the move came and went with no ETA from them. I called the morning of the move since I was concerned.

My husband booked this company based on positive reviews. Unfortunately, everything went wrong. The crew of young men that came out weren't strong enough to move the furniture. Consequently, the majority of my furniture was damaged, which I didn't realize until after they had left. I did see one expensive Ethan Allen piece damaged and when I said something, the group leader launched into a speech about how I should have chosen the "premium package", then my furniture probably wouldn't have gotten damaged.

Beware of this scammer company! For our cross-country move, we thought we'd save some hassle and expense and send a lot of stuff ahead of us, including thousands of books that have been in the family for over 125 years plus my professional library. Zippy Shell seemed like a good deal. But instead of delivering a shell to our house, they took our belongings away in a truck and packed the shell themselves. We thought this was strange until we saw the shell when it was delivered.

The movers themselves did a fine job, but the communication ahead of time was very poor and resulted in the move taking much longer than expected and me being charged two hours do to the company’s poor communication and and lack of customer service. I communicated several times before the move via email and phone call sharing that I had the elevator at my new apartment for a reserved period of time and confirming that would work either way the schedule.

This place does not know the meaning of communication or reliability. Receive a confirmation call and text that my Zippy Shell would be arriving between 8am-12pm. When it got closer to 11am I called and was told the driver was 20 minutes away. This was an absolute lie!. I waited 30 mins and called back and didn't not get an answer. I TRIED to call 19 other times and the phone just ranged with no answer.

I've used Zippy Shell twice recently. Both for a long distance move, and for storage most recently. Both times the communication was non-existent. Most recently I had used them for a long distance move where they also stored my container for almost a year in Pottstown. I contacted them to arrange delivery, and they wouldn't even confirm they had it at their facility in Pottstown.
