In their own words
Im not sure how this moving company is getting 5 stars, but probably the customers who gave them 5stars are either fake ones (they only have done 1-2 reviews, meaning fake accounts to give high ratings to friends or for themselves) or the ones who did not do any price comparison and bargained with them to see their true unprofessional rude attitude and behavior. We emailed them for only loading unloading and driving service for the truck. For that they replied “can be arranged”.
I normally don't write reviews but I felt it was my duty to tell my story and help others in their search for a reputable company. The move itself went as well as it could but there was one big issue which ruined the whole experience. I was provided a very reasonable quote (the cheapest compared to others) but then when it came to payment I was told the price was going to be almost double.

I dealt with Sam on the phone who was fantastic, but the actual movers showed up late and with one less person than promised. The movers were nice and respectful but one left during the job to meet a friend. I was on a time crunch and this did not help the situation. Also during unpacking I opened a box and found a bunch of my kitchen glasses and mugs were broken, as well I found dents and scuffs on my furniture. I will be using a different company next time I move.
Booked in advance and were forgotten. Called the owner and after apologies he called another more expensive company, no senior discount and not happy to be there on their day off.

In their own words
On the whole, ABE movers were really great. They provided boxes ahead of time so we do a lot of our own packing. They checked in ahead of time. On Packing/wrapping day they came on time and worked diligently. (Be aware that their time counts from their door to their door.). On Moving day they came on time and worked very efficiently. Three of the movers were very good while one of the movers, while serious and hard-working, did not speak any English.
An Appreciation Post There are two themes I want to write about as I appreciate Abe Moving and their assistance given to me. First, I want to thank Zvonimir for his professionalism for the past one month in answering my requests. Second I want to thank the movers who arrived today, Brad and Mohammad. Speaking of Zvonimir, the boss, I have been in constant communication with him and have been thrilled to be able to interact with him regularly and avail his services.
Abe Removals saved the day for my partner Val and I when our movers failed to show on the agreed date at the agreed time. They had double booked! :( Luckily for us, several increasingly panicked phone calls later, Abe Removals stepped in where several other companies could not (no appointments for 7 - 10 days) and were able to move us on the morning of the following day. The whole team were fantastic - very professional, fast workers, courteous and helpful.
We used Abe moving to move our furniture from Victoria to Calgary. The movers showed up on time, were respectful of the condo rules and other tenants, wrapped everything carefully in blankets and shrink wrap and were all packed up within 2-3 hours. Everything showed up on the day promised in Calgary with no damage. Again, the people delivering our property in Calgary were courteous and careful. Price was competitive against other companies I compared against.
