Absolutely terrible service. We scheduled movers many weeks in advance for May 10 2025. The movers were scheduled to arrive between 5-7 pm. They never arrived and each time we called asking for an update, we were told that they’re still complete previous job. I’m actually writing this review as I’m still waiting for the movers to arrive and it’s 9:10 pm. We have been waiting since the past 4 hours with absolutely no clarity on whether they’re going to come or not.

I would not use them again. When I scheduled it I was told the time slot of arrival was 1-4pm. The distance for my move was at least a 2.5 hour drive. I told them at the time of scheduling and agreeing to it all that I was concerned about the time that they would finish up given the time slot and the drive. I explicitly expressed how I didn’t want it to happen if they were going to arrive at 4. I was assured that they would arrive closer to 1 pm. They arrived at 6:15 pm. They didn’t finish up until 12:30 AM.

Missed a 6 hour pick up window, refused to refund deposit. Then claimed they would need twice as much to do the same job that they missed?

If you are moving long distance save yourself the headache of using this company. They out source my move to National Vanlines. This is one of the moving company's you hear horror stories of moving companies upping the price once they have your load. They raised mine by $2300. When i got my stuff yesterday boxes were smashed, fragile marked boxes were flipped upside down and things are broken. When I reached out to Father and Sons about the damage they passed the buck to National.

This company turned what should’ve been a straightforward move into a nightmare. The morning of the move, the crew was late, and nobody was answering the phone — no updates, no courtesy call, nothing. When they finally showed up, they were unprepared and disorganized. I had clearly listed everything under a room along with what’s in the room for example “shed equipment” (shovels, lawnmower, dolly, etc.) in the inventory and was quoted for it. I even called ahead to confirm.

We hired this company because of many positive reviews and were pretty disappointed. They came with a truck that was smaller than needed which resulted in having to make 2 trips between the residencies. This resulted not only in additional time needed but also in us having to go back and forth to accommodate this. While the residencies are pretty close, it was still a failure to provide an adequate sized truck.

DO NOT USE. Would give 0 stars if it were possible. Our contract said we’d get a call with a specific ETA at noon for a move between 1 and 4. We heard nothing until 3:30, and at that time we were told to expect movers between 5 and 6. Since 6pm, nobody will answer the phone at the number listed on the website. Unprofessional, not communicative, and have now left my family with no way to get our things out of our old apartment and into our new one.

Deceptive and predatory business practices. I got a quote from AOA Moving in June for a September 1 move. I went back and forth with them a few times and settled on an August 30 move out and September 2 move in, as their rates were much cheaper avoiding the Aug 31/Sept 1 crunch. They quoted me $1885 for 8 hours of labor, driving, and storage for a small 2-bedroom apartment. When I received it, I noted that nowhere on the quote did it mention the September 2 move-in that we had discussed.
