I rented a unit at Five Star Storage in Rochester for over a year with no issues — until Michael became the manager. Since then, it’s been a nightmare of harassment, intimidation, and unprofessional behavior. Yes, I was onsite a few times after 10 PM finishing up loading or organizing tools. For more than a year, that was never a problem. Previous managers never said a word. But once Michael took over, everything became an issue.
Five Star Storage does not allow tenants on property after 10PM at any of our locations. This policy is in place for the safety and security of our tenants and for our business, so it is for this reason we have chosen to not renew your lease.
No one even manages this place, it's closed, has wonky hours. Can't get anyone on the phone to explain that you have already vacated the unit, then these folks will harass you like crazy with continuing to bill you for that vacant unit with …

Hi Stacie, Unfortunately there are many variables at play with this particular situation, such as technically you are not on the lease and the gate code associated with the unit has been used by several people, including 2 gentleman who are observed stealing a bike.
Very bad business practices by associates. I stated my exact intentions for use of a 12x40 unit (15 ft. Overhead Doors). Associate comes to me with paperwork of definitions of loitering after the first week. I was not given any rules or …

My experience at Five Star Storage was unlike any I’ve had before. The facility is immaculate, and the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Mike assisted us throughout the entire process and made everything very easy. One of the best perks is that they offer a free trailer, which was extremely helpful for hauling our belongings. They also provide a four-month discount, which made the experience even better. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for storage in Rochester, MN.

I took advantage of a promotional rate on a large unit. The facility as well taken care of the staff is very patient, understanding, and helpful. witch truly says a lot about them as a company! I leave knowing that my stuff is safe and that if there is any issues that they will communicate assertively and work with you to achieve fair resolution. five stars for five stars hands down !

Been using Five star storage for about a year and I love it. Its always so clean and well maintained. It is ran well probably because Mike is the go to guy, he is AWESOME. He is always so helpful and definitely makes sure the customers are happy !
