I have used multiple moving companies over the years and their service is the worst. Their service has deteriorated this year. Because they are trying to expand to different cities, their service, understandably, taken a turn to the worst. They always overcharge you from what was quoted. I say hire professional moving company rather than small haul movers. I found Raimond's Movers much more professional and affordable than them. Trust me its better to take your service elsewhere.
Hi Mithila S - My name is Charles and I am the owner of Small Haul. We take reviews very seriously as it helps us improve our service and allows us to address issues that have not been resolved. After reviewing our records, we were unable to find a Mithila S.
Absolute joke of a service, I requested them to move a two piece sofa. They scammed me for about 300 dollars ( extra time) and didn't finish the job. I specifically told them it was a heavy couch to move on the phone and they reassured me they could do it. As much as they said the weight and size wasn't an issue, it clearly was.They were smirking as we sent them the venmo, then said they would be back early the next morning to finish the job, and we never heard from them again.
Mike, We have searched our database and have been unable to find a record for a customer with your name. However, after speaking with our crews, we did manage to find a record for someone with a similar name but a fairly different story of events.
The movers seemed to drag their feet intentionally as a way to raise the final quote. Took 2 1/2 hours for a pretty simple move. I was told my dresser couldn’t be moved out without being hoisted for an extra $100 even though my roommate and I had been able to carry it up the stairs 2 years prior, so now I’m without a dresser. There are probably better movers out there, so won’t be using Small Haul again.
Hi Matt, We apologize for any misunderstanding or dissatisfaction regarding your experience with Small Haul. Feedback from the crew confirmed that we encountered difficulties due to the combination of a tight turn and low clearance in the stairway.
Movers nice. Not great getting charged an extra hour when you were below an hour. Can’t leave an honest review on their site because when you get your receipt in email you cannot view it until you rate them in stars. Unethical.
Only had boxes and we traveled about a mile away. Not from here so the driver rode around the world and slowly to make sure I paid. I didn't realize till later. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone
They were professional & did a great job hoisting a heavy sleeper sofa for me into my third floor unit. But it was incredibly expensive and for that reason I won't call them again.

I will use Small Haul over and over again! The on line reservation process was very clear and easy, the verbal communication was cheerful and polite, the crew arrived on time and were incredibly efficient and careful. Fantastic experience using Small Haul!
I had a wonderful experience with Small Haul and would highly recommend them! They got back to me with a quote quickly, were clear about costs, showed up in the estimated time window, and were incredibly helpful day-of for the move. Our movers, Deric and John, were fantastic - incredibly polite and helpful, worked quickly, able to move heavy pieces of furniture through tough stairways easily, and overall a pleasure to work with.
After our experience with Small Haul, we're really sad to have moved so far away, because we won't have them next time. When I reached out for a multi-state move, I was a little worried I picked too small a company for such a big job. I had nothing to worry about. David was communicative from the start, and made everything super easy for us.
I would highly recommend Small Haul. The onboarding/scheduling process removed much of the uncertainty I’ve experienced with past moves, ensuring that the right numbers of movers and vehicles were selected for our job of moving out of two apartments into a single household. Cost estimates based on our submitted details (number of large items/boxes, some photos, etc.) were also reasonable and ultimately on-point for the job, so there were no surprises.
