Ironically I chose The Moving Co because of their high Google reviews. In fairness to this company I will only state fact and will avoid any of my opinions (although in the customer service business opinions matter). You can form your own opinions based on the facts. 1. We were scheduled to start my move at 7:45 AM, the truck and two moving men actually arrived at 10:40am (almost 3 hours late) 2.

Zero stars. Let me start off by saying we chose this company because it was veteran owned. My husband is currently deployed. Alan came out and did an estimate at our house to move all of our furniture and every belonging out of the house while my husband is deployed. Placed my deposit down. Booked the company. May 16th, On day of moving-Movers were very late, unprofessional and cussing in-front of and flirting with my very young teenage age daughters.

The Moving Company (Will) Came to my house for a quote. Took a bunch of pictures of items in my house, told me they would get me a quote the next day. I never received my quote nor a response to my phone call or text. It has been about 10 days now. I am extremely uncomfortable with someone having taken so many pictures of the inside of my house, and then just disappear. Not very professional in the least bit.
Had an 8:30 a.m. appointment on Friday, 05-20-22 for this moving company to empty a 10x15 storage unit and load it into a U-Haul Truck. Small, simple job that was going to only take an hour or less to do. So I waited a little after 8:30 & called them. The man on the phone said as soon as his help comes in they will be right over. 9:30 rolls around, no one has shown up, & they are called again.
I chose this moving company for a basic 3 bed 2 bath local move because of it's high Google reviews...better than any other moving company in my area. Unfortunately, my experience with them did not warrant the same high review. It was a bad experience, primarily due to poor management and planning on their part. I was not provided with the number of movers that I was told when I spoke with the manager on the phone just the day before.
There were so many things wrong with the move for my mother, I’ll stick with what I feel are the most concerning. Deposit paid $430 •6/7 Movers showed up with three trucks(needed one and they sent an extra in case) The other truck went to the wrong house. • reschedule due to weather and two guys show up. • once loaded, the truck wouldn’t start and didn’t start after truck unloaded at new house. My husband had to get jumper cables and help.
2 weeks ago we had them move just the heavy furniture in our house which didn’t consist of anything out of the ordinary. When they show up the first thing you do is go ever the furniture to be moved then sign a waiver for damage. We were moving into a brand new home. The move from the existing home went pretty seamless, however when we got to the new home this is where things fell apart and a lack of integrity came into place. The first piece of furniture they moved upstairs was our bed frame.
Hey Nathan, Rob here, with The Moving Co. Firstly, I'm sorry to hear about this experience. I'd like to address a few things in this review and find a way to help with the situation.
Not a good experience. All we needed was one safe moved from our garage, to our walk out basement. Two men showed up and said the office workers didn't let them know what was being moved, and they didn't have the equipment to do it, but would call to reschedule. We needed it moved in a timely manner, due to needing to move our boat. They didn't call to reschedule, but then called to collect on the outstanding bill, again the safe hadn't been moved, and we had already paid a deposit.

In their own words
The move from the POD in Battlefield to our home in Joplin was worry-free. The two movers were on time and carefully handled our belongings to insure against breakage and damage. The unloading of the POD and loading to the house was done efficiently and in a timely manner. Not only were they professional in attitude and service, they were personable at the same time. The delivery of our POD was delayed due to inclement weather and we were trying to get our belongings prior to Christmas.
Worry-free is what I love to hear! Thanks for the opportunity to work for you. I'll pass this along to mike as well. :)

The pre-move communication was great. A stumble on the day of move, but we worked with it. Essentially the 2 man crew had been told it was a light easy move (not: cross country family move on an ABF trailer). They showed up with no hand trucks shocked to find the trailer loaded with heavy stuff. I did call the day before to confirm they'd have all supplies, were a 3 man crew, and were aware it was coming on an ABF trailer.
Ashley, thanks for your kind words for our guys, and sorry for the mix-up. But we're glad we came through for you and your family on moving day!
I had never hired movers before and these guys made it so easy! I needed my whole 2 story house (with crazy heavy furniture) moved to another 2 story and I had looked around at other places until I read their reviews and sure enough, they more than lived up to the expectation. I had the pleasure of setting everything up with Mike and he was very friendly and helpful in advising how long things might take, what costs would/could be, how to plan for day of etc.
